Mount Nijo from Nijozan Station

Trail description

Nijozan is a twin-peaked mountain on the border of Nara and Osaka, with Odake at 517 m and Medake at 474 m. This out-and-back route climbs from Nijozan station on the Nara side through forest to Odake, the higher peak, 5.0 km with about 440 m of climbing. Near the top of Odake is the tomb said to be that of Prince Otsu.
