Trail description

Nakimushi, 1,104 m, rises about 2 km south of central Nikko across the Daiya River from the Nikko range. This route starts near the Kanmangafuchi abyss on the edge of town and climbs to the summit. The last part is steep, with tree roots and stone steps that are slippery when wet. Local lore says that rain follows when cloud sits on the mountain, and it is busy in the season of akayashio azaleas and katakuri flowers.
