Trail description
Hangetsuyama, 1,753 m, rises above the south shore of Lake Chuzenji in Nikko. This route follows the ridge above Chuzenji Onsen via Chanokidaira, where a ropeway once ran, to the Chuzenji-ko viewpoint and on to the summit. The viewpoints look over Lake Chuzenji, Mount Nantai, Senjogahara and Nikko-Shirane, one of the best known views of Oku-Nikko. The hiking season is May to November.
