Trail description
Miuneyama, 1,235 m, in the Takami mountains on the border of Mie and Nara, is one of Japan's 300 famous mountains and carries a first order survey point. This route climbs from the Mitsue side through forest to the summit ridge, with the bamboo grass slope of Hatchodaira just south of the top. It is known for rime ice in winter, above all around the Miune pass west of the summit, and for Yashio azaleas in May.
