Mount Misen via the Daisho-in Course

Trail description

Mount Misen, 535 m, rises in the middle of Miyajima and has been a sacred mountain since ancient times. The Daisho-in course climbs from Daisho-in temple past the site of the old Nio gate to the summit observatory, with many stone steps, and takes about 90 to 120 minutes. Deer are often met on the way; return the same way or by the ropeway. Miyajima is reached by a short ferry from Miyajimaguchi.
