Trail description

Gokurakujiyama, about 693 m, rises on the border of Saeki ward in Hiroshima and Hatsukaichi, in Setonaikai National Park. This route climbs on the Tsubaki-one and Shirakashi-one courses past Ushi pond to the summit, where the old Shingon temple of Gokurakuji stands. Its main hall is a Hiroshima prefectural important cultural property. The temple grounds look over the Seto Inland Sea and keep a natural fir forest that was spared from felling even in wartime.
