Trail description
A steep 6.3 km climb of about 820 m to the summit of Mount Nantai, 2,486 m, the stratovolcano in Nikko National Park, from about 1,670 m. The mountain, also called Mount Futara, can be seen on clear days from Saitama, 100 km away. It formed about 23,000 years ago and last erupted about 7,000 years ago.
