Trail description

Gozenyama, 1,405 m, rises south of Lake Okutama between Okutama and Hinohara and is one of the three Okutama peaks with Odake and Mito. This route climbs from the Tsukiyomi parking area on the Okutama Shuyu road over the subsidiary peak of Sogakusan to the broad summit. The mountain is known for its spring dogtooth violets (katakuri) and for its larches turning gold in autumn. The summit itself has few views, but there is an emergency hut nearby.
