Trail description
A 4.3 km climb of about 475 m from near Passo Costalunga past the Rifugio Paolina and along the Sentiero delle Perle and Sentiero del Masarè to the Rifugio Roda di Vael, 2,283 m. The refuge stands on the Ciampaz saddle on the western side of the Catinaccio in the Sciliar-Catinaccio park. On the way, a bronze eagle honours Theodor Christomannos, a pioneer of tourism in the Dolomites.
