Stage 7 of the Alta Via 1 of the Aosta Valley, from the Rifugio Vieux Crest (1,935 m) above Champoluc across the Val d'Ayas, past the Rifugio Ferraro, to the Rifugio Grand Tournalin (2,550 m). The hut is the usual night stop. Book the huts ahead in summer.
