Trail description

Stage 15 of the Alta Via 1 of the Aosta Valley, from Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses (1,600 m) in the Great Saint Bernard valley up past the Lac des Merdeux to the Rifugio Frassati (2,560 m). The lower part follows a quiet road and tracks. The hut is high and snow can linger into early summer. Book the huts ahead in summer.
