Stage 1 of the Alta Via 1 of the Aosta Valley, from Donnas (330 m) on the valley floor up to the hamlet of Sassa (1,430 m). A long climb of more than 1,000 m on paths, mule tracks and some quiet village roads; the next stage goes on to the Rifugio Coda.
