Trail description

A 4.8 km walk with 95 m of climb across the karst hills of the Aggtelek National Park, from the Baradla cave stop in Aggtelek to the Vörös-tó. Mostly on forest paths and tracks, it passes the Nagy-ravasz-lyuk and the Szent Ferenc chapel to the cave's Vörös-tó entrance and the lake beyond it. The Baradla, Hungary's best-known cave, opens at Aggtelek and its 7 km main passage runs to Jósvafő; the visitor centre at the Vörös-tó entrance, opened in 2005, starts a two-hour tour along the longest lit section of the cave to the Jósvafő exit.
