Trail description

A 6.9 km climb from the Wimbachbrücke car park near Ramsau over the Stubenalm and the Mitterkaseralm to the Watzmannhaus (1,930 m), the German Alpine Club hut on the Falzköpfl below the Watzmann-Hocheck and one of the club's most visited huts. The hut is staffed in summer. The routes on to the Hocheck and over the Watzmann ridge are partly secured with cables and are not part of this hike.
