Trail description

A 5.5 km walk on the first stage of the Urwaldsteig Edersee, a 68 km circuit of mostly narrow paths around the reservoir, from Schloss Waldeck, a castle first recorded in 1120 high above the north-east shore of the Edersee, over the Uhrenkopf down to Hemfurth below the Edersee dam. The trail runs largely through the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, with dry oak woods on the north side of the lake.
