Christenberg from Münchhausen

Trail description

A 3.4 km walk from Münchhausen into the Burgwald to the Christenberg (387 m), where the Martinskirche, with a nave and tower from around 1000, stands in a cemetery on the site of Celtic and later Frankish fortifications; legend makes it the oldest church in Hessen. From the hilltop the view reaches to the Kellerwald.
