Trail description
A 4 km walk from Hölle through the Höllental in the Frankenwald, the narrow, rock-walled gorge of the Selbitz, on the Höllentalstraße, a private road closed to cars, past the Teufelssteg rapids and the 170 m rock mass of König David to the power station and the Jungfernsteg at the northern end of the gorge. The valley has been a nature reserve since 1997 and carries the Frankenweg long-distance trail; on the opposite slope the Röhrensteig follows the power station's water pipe.
