Trail description

A hike of approximately 5.6 km from the Laval refuge, deep in the Clarée Valley, to Lac Laramon at around 2,360 m and then to Lac du Serpent at around 2,450 m. The lakes are nestled in a hollow beneath the Cerces massif, amidst larch trees, alpine pastures, and marmots. The road from Laval is closed to cars in summer, with a shuttle service running from Névache.
