Trail description

A 4.6 km climb of about 930 m from Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte to the Moucherotte, 1,901 m, at the north-eastern end of the Vercors above Grenoble. From the late 1950s to the mid-1970s a luxury hotel stood on the summit, reached by a gondola from Saint-Nizier. In 1968 the Olympic ski jumping was held on the big jump at Saint-Nizier, at the foot of the Trois Pucelles rocks on the mountain's northern ridge.
