Trail description
A 3.2 km walk with about 180 m of climbing from Le Saut past the Chalet de la Sassière up the valley to the Lac de la Sassière, in the Grande Sassière nature reserve above Tignes. The lake is a reservoir at 2,460 m, dammed between 1955 and 1959. With the Chevril and Saut dams it forms one of the largest hydroelectric schemes in France.
