Trail description
A 5.1 km loop from the Lenzanger car park at the end of the Rauris valley road along the Rauriser Urwald nature trail, through a boulder forest of spruce and larch with a few stone pines and plenty of standing deadwood at about 1,600 to 1,800 m. The trail winds past some of the more than 80 small bog pools in the forest and returns by way of Kolm-Saigurn and the valley road. Laid out in 1980 by the Austrian nature conservation association, it was the first visitor facility of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in whose outer zone it lies. It is rated easy, and the forest section takes 45 to 90 minutes.
