Paltau Waterfall via Obi-Rakhmat Grotto

Trail description

A walk from the Tashkent to Brichmulla road near Paltau village through the Ugam-Chatkal National Park to the Obi-Rakhmat grotto, a Palaeolithic site, and on to the Paltau waterfall, where the river drops about 38 m. The waterfall lies in a rocky bend about 4 km above the river mouth. Russian Wikipedia notes that access to the Paltau valley requires a special permit because of its proximity to the state border.
