Wheeler Peak Great Basin

Trail description

A 6.7 km climb in Great Basin National Park from the trailhead near the end of the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive on the well-maintained Wheeler Peak Summit Trail, a class 1 hike, to the summit of Wheeler Peak (3,982 m). The park calls the summit trail quite strenuous, and the altitude is a real hazard for unprepared hikers.
