Trail description
A 1.6 km walk with about 90 m of height difference between the trailhead on Glacier Point Road and Taft Point, west of Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park. The point looks over Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls and El Capitan, and is known for the giant fissures in the granite that drop straight down toward the valley floor. It is named after President William Howard Taft, who came across it during his three-day visit to Yosemite with John Muir in October 1909.
