Trail description
Short out-and-back hike in Shenandoah National Park from the Stony Man parking area at Skyline Drive mile 41.7, near Skyland, up the Stony Man trails to the rocky summit cliffs. At 4,011 ft (1,223 m), Stony Man is the second-highest peak in the park. The lookout gives wide views over the Shenandoah Valley to Massanutten Mountain. The round trip is about 1.6 miles with some 340 ft of climbing.
