Trail description
A 1.7 km climb of about 130 m on the Pipiwai Trail in the Kipahulu district of Haleakala National Park on Maui, from near sea level to about 140 m. The park, named after the dormant Haleakala volcano, covers about 135 square kilometres, most of it wilderness. It was designated a national park in 1976 and enlarged in 2005.
