Oberg Mountain

Trail description

A 3.6 km loop from the trailhead on Onion River Road near Tofte, climbing on the Superior Hiking Trail and then circling the top of Oberg Mountain in Superior National Forest. The Forest Service rates it a moderate hike and describes the Oberg Mountain Trail as a spur off the Superior Hiking Trail. High overlooks along the loop look out over Lake Superior, Oberg Lake and Moose Mountain. Steep cliffs line the top, so keep small children close.
