Trail description

From Underhill State Park the walk follows the CCC Road and the Sunset Ridge Trail up an open, rocky ridge with wide views to the Long Trail and the Chin of Mount Mansfield (1,340 m), the highest point in Vermont. The ridge is above the treeline and exposed in storms; keep to the rock to protect the rare alpine plants.
