Mount Kearsarge Winslow Trail

Trail description

A 1.5 km climb on the Winslow Trail from the picnic area of Winslow State Park, on the north-west slope, to the bare summit of Mount Kearsarge, a monadnock with 2,100 ft (640 m) of relative height that has been treeless since a forest fire in 1796. On very clear days the skyscrapers of Boston, 80 miles (130 km) away, can be seen from the fire tower on top.
