Lookout Point Trail

Trail description

A 3.5 km hike in Wind Cave National Park from the trailhead on South Dakota Highway 87 north of the visitor center on the Lookout Point Trail over the rolling hills of the prairie, with a side trip up to Lookout Point; the park suggests combining it with the Highland Creek and Centennial trails for a 4.5-mile loop. Bison and mountain lions roam the park: stay at least 25 yards (23 m) from all wildlife.
