Trail description

A 4.1 km climb of about 580 m from the Lassen Peak Highway to the summit of Lassen Peak (3,187 m), in Lassen Volcanic National Park. Lassen is a lava dome volcano and the southernmost active volcano in the Cascade Range, and it is one of the largest lava domes on Earth. Only the crags on its southern flank, near the summit trailhead, have escaped significant glacial erosion.
