Katahdin via the Hunt Trail

Trail description

The Hunt Trail climbs from Katahdin Stream Campground in Baxter State Park past Katahdin Stream Falls and up the Hunt Spur, with iron rungs and boulder scrambling, across the Tableland to Baxter Peak (1,605 m), the highest point of Maine and the northern end of the Appalachian Trail. Day-use parking must be reserved, and the trail closes in bad weather.
