Trail description
A 4.8 km climb from the south on the Hurricane Mountain Trail to Hurricane Mountain (3,688 ft / 1,124 m) near Keene, in the north of the Adirondack High Peaks region. Its summit, cleared by Verplanck Colvin during his early survey of the Adirondacks, gives some of the best views of any of the lesser peaks, and a disused fire tower stands on top.
