Trail description

A 4.6 km hike in Caprock Canyons State Park from the trailhead at the foot of the North Prong Spur, up the spur and west along the Haynes Ridge Overlook Trail, the park's most popular trail, climbing about 600 feet (180 m) to the highest part of the park with unmatched views of the red rock canyons below the Caprock Escarpment. Bison of the official Texas State Bison Herd roam the park freely: watch them from a safe distance.
