Trail description
A 1.9 km walk on the River Trail in Great Falls Park, starting near the Great Falls overlooks and following the Potomac River downstream. The 800-acre (3.2 km²) park in northern Fairfax County also holds the remains of the Patowmack Canal, the first canal in the United States to use locks.
