Trail description

A short 1.9 km climb of about 200 m from Tioga Road over a ridge and down past Middle Gaylor Lake toward Upper Gaylor Lake, near Tioga Pass. The lakes lie below Gaylor Peak, a 3,354 m summit on the crest of the Sierra Nevada on the boundary between Yosemite National Park and the Inyo National Forest. Runoff from the peak flows west into the Gaylor Lakes and on into the Dana Fork of the Tuolumne River.
