Enchanted Rock Loop Trail

Trail description

A 7.9 km loop in Enchanted Rock State Natural Area along the Loop Trail around the perimeter of the park, circling Enchanted Rock, the largest pink granite monadnock in the United States. From the granite pathway you see the massive exfoliation sheet on Buzzard's Roost and the mushroom rocks of Freshman Mountain, then pass Moss Lake with views of Enchanted Rock and Little Rock. Carry plenty of water. The Loop Trail is open after sunset for stargazing and is dog friendly; pets are not allowed on the Summit Trail.
