Chimneys Trail

Trail description

A 3.8 km hike in Big Bend National Park from mile 13 of the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive across the desert to the Chimneys, a series of prominent volcanic dikes that are easily seen from the trailhead. These high pinnacles have always been an important landmark, and Indian rock art marks their base. The trail continues west another 4.6 miles (7.4 km) to the Old Maverick Road near Luna's Jacal.
