Trail description

A 4.1 km climb of about 590 m from New York State Route 73 to the bare rocky summit of Cascade Mountain, 1,249 m, the 36th highest of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks. The summit has views of many other High Peaks and the Champlain Valley. It is one of the most popular hikes in the Adirondacks; the mountain and the Cascade Lakes at its foot are named after a waterfall on its slope.
