Trail description

Short, steep out-and-back climb in Acadia National Park from the Bubbles parking area on the Park Loop Road, up the Bubbles Divide and Bubbles Trail to the summit of South Bubble and Bubble Rock. Bubble Rock is a glacial erratic, a large boulder of Lucerne granite carried about 30 miles from the northwest by the ice sheet and left perched on the edge of the cliff above Jordan Pond. From the summit there are views down Jordan Pond towards the sea. The parking area fills quickly in summer.
