Trail description
From the NCAR trailhead above Boulder the walk follows the Mesa Trail to the mouth of Fern Canyon, then climbs very steeply up the rocky canyon to the summit block of Bear Peak (2,578 m), with views over Boulder and the Flatirons and west to the Continental Divide. The last few metres are an easy scramble.
