Trail description

A 3.5 km climb from the trailhead by Eleanor Lake on the East Entrance Road to Avalanche Peak (10,568 ft / 3,221 m), on the border of Yellowstone National Park and the North Absaroka Wilderness in the Absaroka Range. The peak has a large scree-covered bowl and is popular with hikers.
