Trail description
A 2.5 km climb of about 270 m from Crawford Notch Road to Arethusa Falls, in Crawford Notch State Park in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The falls form where the headwaters of Bemis Brook tumble over a granite cliff on the western slope of Crawford Notch, and they are the tallest single-drop waterfall in the state. They were discovered by Edward Tuckerman in 1875 and named after the nymph Arethusa, daughter of Nereus.
