Trail description

A strenuous 7.9 km climb of about 900 m from the valley floor to Amphitheater Lake, in Grand Teton National Park. The lake lies only 0.32 km west of Surprise Lake, with Disappointment Peak 0.8 km to the west-north-west. The round trip from the Lupine Meadows trailhead is just under 16 km.
