Trail description
From the Slemish car park east of Broughshane, a grassy track leads to the foot of the hill and a steep, rocky 180 metre climb to the 437 metre summit. Slemish is the plug of an extinct volcano, and tradition holds that Saint Patrick herded livestock here for about six years as a young slave, which is why large crowds climb it every Saint Patrick's Day.
