From Flotterstone the walk climbs Turnhouse Hill and follows the ridge of the Pentland Hills over Carnethy Hill to Scald Law (579 m), the highest of the Pentlands, with views over Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth, and returns down the valley of the Glencorse Burn.
