Trail description

From the gap where the Sperrin Road crosses the hills north of Sperrin village, a path follows the ridge west over open moorland to the summit of Sawel Mountain (678 m), the highest point of the Sperrins in Northern Ireland. The walk is 4.4 km out and back with about 370 m of climbing. The ground is boggy in places and the summit is exposed to the weather.
