Trail description
A public footpath leaves the northern edge of Brecon at Maes-y-Ffynnon and climbs across fields to the open top of Pen y Crug, known locally as the Crug. The flat summit at 331 metres carries a trig point inside the ramparts of an impressive Iron Age hillfort. Views take in Brecon, the Usk valley, the Black Mountains and the central Brecon Beacons.
