Margery Hill via Cut Gate

Trail description

Starting at Langsett Barn car park, the walk crosses Brook House Bridge and climbs the Cut Gate bridleway across open moorland towards Howden Edge. A short path leads to Margery Hill, at 546 metres the highest marked point within the City of Sheffield, whose summit cairn is believed to be part of a Bronze Age burial mound. The moor is managed by the National Trust as part of its High Peak Estate.
