Trail description

From the National Trust Aira Force car park, a terrace path traverses the steep slopes above Ullswater past Yew Crag before turning uphill to the summit of Gowbarrow Fell. The fell is 481 m high and lies in Gowbarrow Park, National Trust open access land. Dorothy Wordsworth's 1802 account of daffodils on the shore below inspired William's poem I wandered lonely as a cloud.
